
Kevin Ferguson better known as Kimbo Slice is 38 years old and was born on February 8,1974. He is of Bahamian-American decent and was born in Nassau, Bahamas but was raised in Miami, Fl. After giving up his dream to play pro football he became famous via the internet for backyard street fighting. His friend and manager Icey Mike lead the way to his success using YouTube to promote his jaw breaking hands. He was even nicknamed “The King of the Web Brawlers” by Rolling Stone.
Kimbo Slice was signed to his first professional contract with Elite XC back in 2007. However, he became a free agent the very next year after Elite XC went bankrupt. Slice was signed up to compete in The Ultimate Fighter: Heavyweights fight for a chance to fight with the UFC. Slice ended up being defeated by Roy Nelson in his first The Ultimate Fighter: Heavyweights fight. Which was in no way a fare fight to any degree. Roy Nelson is a veteran fighter who went on to win the series.

Not scaring easily Kimbo continued his career in MMA fighting, but eventually walked away with a 4-2 record. He won against Bo Cantrell by Submission, Tank Abbot by KO, James Thompson by TKO and against Houston Alexander by Decision. He did however looss two fights by TKO against Seth Petruzelli and Matt Mitrione. He left the UFC after his Matt Mitrione defeat.
After taking some time off to recollect his thoughts he decided it was time to give Pro-Boxing a shot. This time around they have made it clear they want to start at the bottom and work his way up. They aren’t looking to jump in the rink with the big dogs of boxing. Kimbo is still learning the ropes of professional boxing and has a lot more to learn before he’ll go glove to glove with the big names.
Kimbo Slice currently holds a (3-0, 2 KO) record and is signed up to fight next month against Robert Bruce.
